Round up entry for the semester
Finally, the semester has come to an end.. so many things happen that I think they really deserved an entry on them. Let me recall what had happened during the semester. First day of school, I remembered Alex trying to set expectations for the honours class that really freaks me down the spine as I was doubtful that I’m up to it. Anyway, I managed to survive during the semester.. Phew.. The class was damn big, it was mentioned that it was the largest social work honours class with 48 of us… Anyway one of the happiest things that happened to me is that I have become good friends with some of them whom I thought I would not even talked to coz they looked so “cool” for the past 3 years.
One of the first bonding activities that we have is that everybody agreed to wear the same color to school for a week, thus we have a wear white day. Wear pink day and a wear black day! Even the lecturers wore the same color, it was so cool, and I really feel so glad to be part of the honours class.

A few of us also went out to eat after class on a Friday evening. It was an odd combination of friends, but trust me the outing really went well. Hehe
N yes for the first time in NUS, we have birthday celebrations with our friends. First is the Cindy’s plan where we try to surprise her with a awfully chocolate cake in our newly renovated canteen. She was of course surprised and touched by our actions ;) Second, is the RL plan which took a toil on me. Because Cindy’s plan turn out too well, so the expectations of RL plan went up… and we have to role play a scene. I was one of the main actress in the play. I have to forced up tears to pretend that I’m really sad while we were having our research meeting and went off to meet the rest of them where the cake is. Cindy ran after me and then she called Rachel over. That’s where the surprise came. And tadah our birthday surprise for RL really went well!

Amidst all the struggling with the modules especially SW4214 n SW4102. SW4214 is a module that we have no choice but to take, many felt cheated of the money. This module is disastrous as every week passed, I felt more stupid after the lecture ahha, as it is very history oriented which is what I’m really sucked at ahaha. And the assignment is horrendous! One 20 page assignment, and a 20 mins individual presentation. Tsk tsk so glad that its all over now. And for SW4102, although the lecturer is very grandfatherly and nice but there was no structure in the lectures, I cant believe we started the introductory lecture in week 6 which is supposed to be in week 1! :S
Before the mugging began, we have a destressed activity together as a class and with some of our juniors. Yes the captain’s ball match! We got second in the end! Thanks Dr Ng for donating a welfare economics book for the prize and Dr Ngiam for contributing $50 for the prizes!! It was such a conspiracy as we are the ones organizing the match and we got the prizes for ourselves ahaha.
And yes everything has come to an end. I wonder whether next semester would be as happening as this semester!
