Day 7 Our last day

It was our last day in hk. We went to the Avenue of Stars after our breakfast. After that we shopped around the shopping centres at that area. I bought a portable umbrella that cost me S$20 since the weather looked like it was going to rain. Initially I caught an eye on another umbrella but it cost S$32, so dear was saying that it was too expensive for an umbrella, hence in the end we did not buy that. The S$20 umbrella look similar to the one I saw, so I persuaded dear to let me buy it haha.

The place that we had our dinner on the first day....

After walking for quite some time, we were quite hungry. This was the first time we were very hungry and frantically looking for food to eat in our overseas trip. Because, being a good host, Alex would never allow our stomach to go hungry; food is constantly being fed into our mouths every now and then. But today we were on our own. We settled down at a Japanese restaurant after walking for long to look for food to eat.

Our lunch

We went shopping at a shopping mall near our hotel. Dear and I recognized that the shopping mall is the one that was shown in one of the hk drama serials broadcasted in scv. We had some desserts and then rushed back to the hotel to check out.

At the shopping mall

The escalators in the shopping mall are very long that brought you to 3-4 storeys at one go. I love the design of the shopping mall, it was much better than the ones we see at home!

Once we reached the airport, we checked in and then roamed around till I saw the Wildfire restaurant. As I was describing to them how nice their calamari rings tasted like, all of us decided to dine in at 7.05pm when we are supposed to board the plane at 7.40pm. We ordered our food at 7.15pm. Suddenly all of us were panicked, because we were reminded that our plane was a distance away from the location we were currently at, thus we were advised to head to our gate 15 mins earlier, but here we were, sitting in the Wildfire restaurant and waiting for our calamari rings and mushrooms to arrive. We waited for 5 mins before our food arrived and we finished the calamari rings in 30 secs and the mushrooms in 1 mins plus. Once we finished our food we quickly asked for the bill and headed to our gate. It was quite exciting as we were chasing with time. And finally, we made it in time to board the plane! In a few hours time, we were be back at home again!

Day 6-Macau

We had breakfast buffet again at the hotel early in the morning again. After that his shen zhen chauffeur drove us to his office and we changed to another car driven by his hk chauffeur to hk. Yes, we are leaving shen zhen.. Bye bye shen zhen… Once we reached hk, we checked into our hotel again and we headed to Macau with Wei Shan. He was our tour guide again. We took a ferry there, the ride last for an hour. Food was served for the one hour ride because we were sitting on the super class seats. I did not know how much did the ferry tickets cost as Alex said he got it free from his company. Anyway I thought the unagi rice set served was nice, but Justus said that it was awful. Haha.

Bye bye Mission hill

My fav unagi set!!

When we reached Macau, we went to the casino, but dear wore slippers so he was not allowed to go in. Hence being nice, I accompanied him to wander outside the casino and took some photos while waiting for the rest to come out.

After which we went shopping and had some snacks. We chanced upon a stall selling milk in solid form, it was super nice!!! I really loved it a lot. We also tried a dish with rice stuffed in a chicken as recommended by Wei Shan.

All the shopping in macau have made me not miss this place (as shown below)which is one of their tourist attraction.

We rushed to catch our ferry ride in the evening back to hk. On our way back food was served too, but it was not as nice as the unagi rice served in the afternoon. Our half day Macau tour was a rush one, we thought that we should have stayed there for a day or two.

At night we went to temple street for shopping, along the way we saw the milk shop in hk! We were so excited that all of us went in to have another bowl of milk.. yummy!!

Day 5- shen zhen

We had our breakfast buffet at the hotel. After that the chauffeur and our tour guide for the day- Wei Shan brought us to the tribal villages and cultures.

At the culture side, all of us bought calligraphy writingsThe tribal villages and cultures was more than enough to occupy our whole afternoon that we forgo the 世界之窗where we could see the 7 wonders of the world (but in smaller version as compared to the actual ones). It was really worth the time to be there as it helped to broaden one’s horizons culturally.

Some random pictures taken...

We met up with Alex for dinner at 真心屋, another Japanese restaurant recommended by him. The food is good but the sashimi was overcharge I thought. It cost us S$50 for just a few pieces. Pictures
Also I tried something new, horse sashimi, it taste heavenly nice, I like it!

Food!!!

Day 4- Shen Zhen

We woke up early in the morning again for our breakfast. I ate cha jiang mian, not very nice as compared to those from crystal jade. After which we checked out our hotel rooms and waited for the chauffeur to drive us to Shen Zhen. We stayed at Shen Zhen for 2 days. Thanks to Alex for paying for the hotel rooms again. Our trip to hk had really cost him a lot from food to lodgings etc. Thank you so much once again.

First thing on the list when we reached Shen Zhen was to visit Alex’s factory. A half day tour at his new and old factories, it was really an eye opening to see all the production lines, dear said that it was like an industrial visit for him since it was related to what he had studied. His new factory was enormously big; the circumference is not less than 2.4km!

After that we went to east gate shopping mall to shop. All the shops are pretty similar selling “branded” goods. It was known to be a shopping paradise for many, but all of us did not manage to buy anything except for Justus who bought a watch. *grinz. I attempted some bargaining, but it failed as the owner failed to reduce the price that I would be willing to buy. Haiz, moral of the story we are all bad at bargaining.

All the walking and travelling had made us tired and hungry. We had our dinner at 老二 靓汤. The room he booked in the restaurant had a toilet and automatic mj table. We were so fascinated about the mj table that we sat down and played. The first play I won with 清一色, I was so happy!

Our dinner!!!

We went to check into our hotel at Mission Hill after that. The room was so huge! I screamed the moment I opened the door!
