Food!

yes food all the way, I forgot when was that, as I have saved this draft a few days back but had no time to wrtie. Hmm bascially there is one afternoon that I have the mood to whip up a meal to eat by myself when I was alone at home. And it is so yummy. Ahahaha

Oh then Dear smsed me whether I want to have high tea buffet at Sakae Sushi or not and I agreed. So 2 hours after my yi mee, we went to have sushi buffet. It is so damn full, but yummy!

LUCKY!!

I came home and saw a letter lying on my table. I found the envelope familiar as it has the word ACP magazines on it. Suddenly, I recalled whenever I strike a lucky draw this is the company that would notify me about it. So, I quickly open the envelope and YES!, it is a letter to inform me that I have won a lucky draw. It is the CLEO November issue. I think it is the sms I have sent. Anyway the letter wrote:

Congratulations!

You are our lucky winner in the CLEO/Dior Promotion. You have won for yourself a Rough Dior beauty hamper, worth $200/-

Anybody know exactly what did i won for myself? Hmm dior beauty hamper? I hope that it will not disappoint me. I still remember when I was informed that I won a canmake hamper worth $75 from CLEO earlier on, I was elated, but the hamper did not turn up to be very impressive. The packaging was sucks as it was far from what I imagined, don't look like a hamper at all, items are just in a polybag. And the items inside are just a powdered eye shadow, a liquid eye shadow, a sunscreen lotion, a baby blue nail polish. ANd they called it worth $75! haiz. But better than nothing!

This is the second "most expensive" lucky draw that I have won for myself. The first one is a watch from Solvet Titus worth $285. Hope more will come!

My friend wore a watch today which I find it quite nice, but very expensive $200+. I took a picture of it, she said it come in various colours, but I forgot what colours she mentioned coz I was engrossed in looking at the watch.

The later part of this week was horrendous to me. I did not get my tutorial slot for two of my modules despite going for manual registration as the slot I want is too fully packed. Oh the worst thing is that one of the lecturers told me to drop the module to get another one instead since i could not secure a tutorial slot as all the other time slots clashes with my lecture. I was so panic since if that's the case I have to bid for another module since I need this one more module to graduate. So I went for appeal, many friends come by to offer me help like what other modules are less popular, those confirm can get due to large amount of vacancies. As for the other module, the admin staff advised me to look for a friend who is willing to swap the tutorial group with me and I manage to find 2, I say again 2 and not 1 who is willing! What are friends for manz. Really thank them for their help, i really appreciate it! And that solve the problem for this module. On the other hand, my first appeal for another module is not successful due to full vacancies. So i go for another appeal, call the dean's office to process quickly. Haiz Suddenly I thought that one of my friends may be able to swap her timing to me so that i can void my appeal. And yes she agreed, even though we are not very close friends. Thank you again! So i head to the lecturer's office and told her about it. Guess what she told me that 2 of the students had dropped the module and there is vacancies for the slot i want! So without having to trouble my friend to swap with me i am able to secure a tutorial slot. 真是谢天谢地！
So all my problems have been solved! But need to void my appeal, email fashelp to help me but i still feel it is not safe so i called the dean's office again.
Finally after all these have been done, i rushed to meet cindy at kallang for a haircut at somebody's house. Initially I thought of trimming my hair and steaming, but the person advised me to rebond the middle part of my hair and I agreed! $70 for rebonding and hair cut not very ex rite? Heehee and somemore it look super natural and healthy that nobody in my house knew that I rebonded my hair. Lalalala. I think i will go back to her for haircut again. $10 only cheap cheap. And i will psycho dear to go there for a haircut to change his hairstyle ahha for him it is only $8!
After a good haircut, how can we not go out to show everybody in the world our best outlook? :p so we went shopping at bugis, and i bought 2 belts. hehe spend money again. Broke le. But I AM HAPPY!

Social worker's day!

Social Workers' Day falls on the 20th of this month calendar, and our fellow social work friends are busy preparing for it, meanwhile there is also a social work recruitment drive in our school to promote social work and also to recruit new members to the society. There is this jumbo jigsaw puzzle which is made up of many magnetic cards with meaningful codes on them. Lie beneath is some pictures of social work related activities and programs that we had done for our project, programs etc. This is the code that I have taken. I feel that it is really meaningful.

Today urban youth lecture is really interesting, really love Ms Nair, she never fails to inspire me with her stories and her jokes! Today's topic is about sexuality, she mentioned that it is important for the social worker to be comfortable to talk about sex if he or she is going to deal with sexuality issues. Also many questions that we have not thought of may also be raised. One need to be able to handle the situation well. I like one of the examples that she have told us this afternoon that one of the primary school students have posed. I shall name him student A.

Student A: I have a question to ask.
Teacher/Social Worker: Yes, go ahead.
Student A: Why is the penis called a penis?
Upon hearing this question how do you think we should respond? Hmm a teacher oriented answer would be, "Then in your opinion what do you think?"
Student A: Hmmm, I think it is called a penis because it look like a pen!

Yesterday was dear and I 21th moniversary! Dear gave me a love letter, the content is very funny and it never fails to make me laugh even after reading it for many times. Too bad, I will not share the content with you :p But I am kind enough to show you the outlook of the letter.

Shopping trip

I woke up at 4.30 pm today. Opps reason being I slept at 4 plus early in the morning. :) I met up with dear at parkway to shop since I have this sudden urge to go for shopping. I saw the kimono top in one of the shops that I have bought earlier at $25 (after some bargaining, instead of $26) and they are selling at $36.90! It is so expensive, dear name it the 黑店. haha lucky me bought it at a much lower price. I bought 2 skirts, one of them which I saw it earlier but did not buy. That time they were selling it at $25, today they are selling at $15, i feel so happy again, feel like I have save $10. :) Lalalala

Meeting up with my JC cliques

It has been quite some time since I met up with my JC cliques, nuan hl and clara. Today, all of us gather at clara's place for a lunch, we cooked spaghetti and salad. Yummy very nice. (of course, the cooking is done by me! :D and yes the salad is excellent thanks to hl. :) ) It is great to see them all again, reminiscing about our JC times,talking about how my face blushes when I answered KT's question in class, yeah go ahead and laugh! :p Although the work schedule in JC is hectic, but it is really nice to have a wonderful class like 02A10, and not forgetting our Ms Piggy Mak that gone throught the hard times with us worrying about our results etc. And time flies so fast most of us are graduating either this year or next year. (Sob :( I'm getting older each day)
Oh ya, I want to share with you all one incident that I have told my friends today about what I have done in JC. There are some amendment in school rules during that time that we were not supposed to leave the school premises before a certain period of time e.g 12.30pm every day. However, being eager to go home immediately after class which ended quite early on friday to enjoy my long weekend, I took the risk of breaking the school rules by leaving school early. Unfortunately, there is a teacher hiding near the main gate to catch students that attempted to leave school early, and yes I was caught. I was afraid that I would be given demerit points or detention etc, out of desperation I faked the teacher that I had stomach cramps and I wanted to go home early to rest. I actually pretended to be in pain so that I could convince the teacher to believe me. She brought me back to the foyer with a few of others who also attempted to leave school early. Seeing her sending the few other students to see the discipline master made me feel anxious and worried. Luckily the teacher is kind enough to let me off since I claimed that I have stomach cramps. heez Thanks to my good acting skills.. Hahaha (head becoming bigger)

First day of class

Today I attend my first two lectures for the new semester. The modules are all quite interesting, sounds lame, if not I would not bid for it. :P Dear's sis is having a stall with liyuan at the bazaar, I went to help out after my 10am class since liyuan have to go for class at 12pm. The crowd at 12pm was quite good, sold some clothes and earrings during this time, luckily lydia is with me, if not I would not be able to manage the stall, especially keeping an eye on the cash box. I saw one top which I like, it look great on me except that towards the bottom, it get a bit tight which makes it look awkward. Aww so sad, i really like the top. Anyway, I caught an eye on a super cute top, and she gave it to me heez so happy! I have another piece of top for CNY! I am happy today again! :) Oh ya, Liyuan bought me a panda calendar which I like very much but can't bear to buy even though it is only 7 bucks. Dear said that I have planner at home that I have not use yet. Upon seeing that I really like the calendar, Liyuan went to buy it for me! Thank you Liyuan!! Muakcs!

Back to School

Today I went to school even though I have no lessons as I have to pass some notes to my chin han and also to take my cosmetics that I have bought online from her. The shimmer and all are really great! I like! heehee. Today, is a wonderful day for me as I got my cosmetics and also my pg mall bag which I have ordered 2 months plus ago and finally it is ready for collection. The bag is really nice I like it! Lalala I'm happy!

Last day of holiday...

Time really pass so fast, in a nick of time, today is my last day of school holiday! Since this is the last day of holiday, i tried to keep myself awake by watching online korean drama throughout the whole night till 8 plus in the morning so that the precious time will not be wasted. I went to sleep till 230pm before i wake up to wash up and head to singapore post centre to collected my mail, my long awaited dress. Sad to say, the dress can't fit me even though it is free size.. Sob Sob, and the colour of the dress is not exactly the same as I have seen from the picture. Haiz, a bit disappointed, think need to sell the dress to a person that fit the dress.
Ok, the sad thing is over, now i have a happy thing to tell, i bought a tube dress today while shopping. Hehe really like the dress alot, I can wear it for CNY or wedding dinner. heehee. I love shopping especially if I'm able to buy something I like! Lalalala

Happy!!!

I went to help out in kgcc cc during their EMB ceremony, saw many of the staff and RC members, I am so happy to see them, it has been quite some time since we meet up. The people are still as loving and caring as before. I really miss those times working there. This is the most cosy and politics-free environment that I ever work with. The people there help one another in times of tight timeline even though it is not their job scope. I really admire the kind of teamwork that the senior manager has created within their staff. I would say that she really have a knack in handling people, she is well respected by the staff and RC members, other than my basketball coach, she is the second person that gain my utmost respect. :)

Anyway, I am really glad that I was part of the working team in the past, I never regret working there, as I really meet very nice people over there that taught me a lot of things! So damn happy to see them all again! :)

Happy New Year!

I have a wonderful New Year eve with dear and his friends. It started off by watching Death Note 2 which is what I have been looking forward to after my exams. The movie is disappointing to me, i prefer part 1, part 2 is too rushy, trying to put too many content in a 2.5 hrs show and the linkage from one part to another is somewhat not coherent.

After watching the movie, we headed to Jumbo restaurant at East Coast for our dinner, eat lotsa good food like drunken prawns, fried you tiao, chilli crab etc.

We went to dear's friend house to play games, it was fun! At 12 midnight, all of us went to the balcony to look at the sea, according to his friend, every new year, the ships will shoot their rescue light into the sky, and the sky will be filled with small little red sparkling lights that resemble fire works. This is my first time watching it, i think it is really beautiful!

The next day, my mother prepared steamboat for dinner, haha yes good food all the way and i guess this steamboat is going to last for two days since usually there are some extra food leftover for the next day, so I have another two days of good food again yummy yummy! Lalala, don't envy me! :) I have to make sacrifices since I will become rounder after that ahha. :p
