Sakae Sushi

Yes, dear and I went out to eat again. As mentioned earlier, I was craving for salmon sushi and Sakae has quite nice salmon sushi so we decide to go there and eat. Dear stayed over at my place yesterdae so that we can head to parkway to eat Sakae after we woke up. We were planning to eat the High tea sushi buffet from 3-6pm, so I slept till 2pm wake up and bath etc and we head to Sakae. When I told the waitress we want the buffet, she said it is only on weekdays, I was like :( if we had known earlier we would not wait so long to come and have our brunch.. Haha. Still I enjoyed eating there.. Yummy. Really full.



Tomorrow We are going out with dear's friends to watch death note II and to eat good food again I guess ahaah this month spend a lot of money on food. Opps should I say I always spend a lot of money on food. During school term, eat good food due to the tremendous stress, now school holidays, it is time to relax and enjoyed, and eating is an enjoyment to eat, so the whole year round I am eating good food. Really feel thankful that I am able to eat good food whenever I like. :)

Everything is going alrite now, except for my modules, did not get one of the module I want in round 1A bidding, need to call the dean office to clarify my situation. Haiz it's so troublesome, hope I can get the module!

Back to work!

Yes, I am back to work again, a last minute thingy but I am only working for a week so its OKAY! I'm working at the cc again, the work environment is similar except that I see different faces. :) The staff there are nice and friendly. I started my day bad as I encountered a mad guy, as told by my colleague, he came almost every day and ask the same questions. He even threathened to call the police blah blah, thanks to my colleague's aggressiveness that drive him away haha. Though I started my day bad, but I ended my good! There is a volunteers' appreciation night tonight so I get to eat good food. I ate abalone, shark's fin, fish, fresh scallops and chicken! haha I ate a little only, I think the food is really good, think it is not cheap, besides what I mentioned above they also serve duck, steamed prawns, others I not sure because I did not sat throughtout the dinner, went to the office to man the counter.

Sushi, Teppayakki and ice cream buffet!

Dear and I woke up at around 11 am to prepare to go suntec for our japanese buffet, don't know what is the name of the restaurant but according to the crowd, it seems that it is not bad. The restaurant is full house and still there is a long queue waiting outside despite that there is only one hour left for the buffet. So we decided to wait for Sakae Sushi high tea buffet, meanwhile we grab some snacks from the new expansion at Carrefour. We head to esplanade to look for a shop that sell teddy bears' accessories and clothes, hoping to look for tops for Cutie and Fatty, but all the clothes were too big for them so we went back in disappointment. We shopped at marina square after that hoping to look for a pair of shoes for myself but I did not see anything to my liking. While roaming around, we saw this Yuki Yaki restaurant, the one beside KBOX. Hmm they are having buffet lunch from 12-5pm, so in the end we settled inside as they have sushi, bbq and DIY ice cream totaling up to $18.90 each since we are students! The sushi is not fantastic apparently they did not top up the sushi after it has been taken away and there is no salmon sushi which I am craving for. The bbq is normal like those we usually eat. And the DIY ice cream is average, for first timers it may be a good experience but not those that you can go for the second, third or even fourth time. Choice of flavours are limited though. The only plus point is that it is air conditioned so you will not be eating and 'dripping' sweat at the same time. :D Here are some of the photos that I have taken.

Got back my results! Sad? Disappointed?

Today I saw my results online. I did not do very well, for the first time my cap drop, and it drop quite a lot by 0.12. I am abit shocked when I saw the grade because I expect it to be much better. Now my cap is 3.41, I do not know whether want to do honours or not, as it will be a third class honours. Mak Lao Shi if you saw this entry please input your valuable comment, your beloved student is at a loss don't know whether to do honours or not.

Surprisely I got over it quite quickly, dear thought that I was very sad and called to console me. But I'm not, don't know why. And yes, one thing that makes me really happy is the arrival of my goods. heehee My death note limited figure collection and mini chupa chup handphone straps has reached my house after waiting for quite some time. A super mini chupa chup lollipop, damn small.. and is so cute! Really think it is worth the price when i saw it selling at $8.90 in singapore while i bought it at $4.05 more than half the price cheaper. Heehee.

I will be waiting for dear to come my house tomorrow before I opened the death note wrappers, since it is meant to be a christmas present for dear, one for him and of course one for me. :) So meanwhile keep you all in suspense of what is inside the deathnote wrappers. Happy Birthday to Ah gong and Christmas party at CSY's pl

Happy Birthday to Ah gong! Hope he can stay healthy and wish him longevity! Today my lovely Ah gong celebrated his birthday! I am supposed to reach his house by 10am but i woke up late and reached at 11am instead, luckily dear drove to pick me up, my 24/7 driver! Love him lots! I saw my niece and nephew at my ah gong's place also they are so cute, my niece is more naughty, my nephew is more obedient. They are all so adorable, hope that next time when i give birth to a baby that look like them. So cute! I brought cutie and fatty to dear (his father) because I might be staying over at CSY's place. For those who do not know who are Cutie and Fatie... Here is the pic again..Cutie (right) and Fatty (left) are twins, borned on 21/10/06. :)

I was afraid that they might be lonely when if i stay over at CSY's place so I ask dear to bring them to their place. Heez

I reached CSY's place at around 1 plus. We played mj while waiting for the guys to come. We stayed till 11 plus at night before we bid farewell. We had canadian pizzas for our dinner.

Merry Christmas!圣诞节快乐！

Merry christmas to everyone! This year christmas eve I went to IKEA at tampines at 11am with dear and pw & zw, luckily we went earlier, when we left around 1 plus, the carpark is already full and the ikea restaurant is full and there is a long queue waiting outside. The only place that we do not wait is the cashier, there is alot of cashiers. The first impression when I got into IKEA is that it resemble the Wal-Mart store, so huge. We had our lunch first and we walk around in the showroom, caught an eye on a table which come in various colors- white, black, blue and red, i bought the red one, it cost $19.90. The reason i bought the table is because it is small and handy and can be move around in the house with minimal effort so i can use that table to play my laptop near my bed and eat my meal on the table in my parents' bedroom instead of using a table. Oh ya, the moment i show my mum the table when i got home, she keep laughing, i thought she strike 4D she said no and she keep smiling. Then i show my dad the red table and he said that you got this table to 拜拜 is it? Then I suddenly know the reason why my mum have been laughing non-stop because she was thinking of that too. Haha i did not even think of that when I was buying! Anyone they say it is a nice color they also added can use for 拜拜 also if not enought tables. :S

After IKEA, dear and I went to Tampines mall to walk, while PW & ZW went to liang court. Finally got my neckerman shoes which fit my legs. Like this shoes alot...

Nice rite? I think won't be wearing till CNY heehee since i just got a new pair of slippers when my shoes give way the other time.

A few days back, my dad gave me a LV wallet that one of his friend gave him, he gave it to me so i take it that it is my christmas present this year, the LV wallet is very simple, has a coin compartment, a slot to put notes and 3 cards slots but it cost $700+. So expensive many would not know is a LV wallet though coz it is very plain.

Christmas Party on 22/12/06 at Amanda's place

On Friday, Dear and I went to Amanda's place for christmas party. It is also a basketball gathering for us since we did not go for basketball for quite some time. How guilty! Upon reaching her place, we realized that her parents went out and she did not bring her keys out so all of us stood outside the house waiting for her brother to come back to open the gate for us. Most of us arrived at the same time. Dear and I started playing mj while the rest of us played boardgames. Yes the two of us only for mj haha because I am not really a boardgame fan while mj which I just learnt is interesting to me since I'm a beginner. :D
We exchange presents I got a mini water garder, my initial reaction is "huh" haha what is it for, it states for relaxing and destressing haha so funny, dear got a softtoy calender whichI like so I exchange my present and his privately haha.

We had pizza hut for dinner, still think that Canadian pizza is better, they have more fillings than those from pizza hut.
We play mj for the whole night when 2 more khakis came to join us. I am the overall winner of the game, dear also win while the rest lost haha. Oh ya in one of my winnings i got 青一色 so lucky, was on winning stick but we did not play money. :p We left her place at around 3 plus in the morning and head to my house to sleep.

Rainy Days

For the past few days it has been raining non-stop. The torrential rain pour has deterred me or should I say many people from going out. Dear who was supposed to go to school on Tuesday did not go because of the big downpour. Finally, we can see the sunlight yesterday, a good weather to go out but I was at work. It was my last day of work, as usual nothing to much to talk about as it was really a boring job. There is really very little people at the cc. I saw my childhood friend walking pass the cc, she is already a mother of one at the age of 24. Time flies.
The cc has approached me to work at their cc since the current temp staff is irresponsible even though I said that I can only work for 2 weeks due to my short holidays. So I turned down the other job offer since I preferred to work at the cc doing counter duties instead of administrative work. However, when I confirmed that I would be available for work, the cc staff spoke to their manager, the manager complained that the time available for me to work is too short for they need someone that would work for like a few months. So one of the staff told me about this and said that the manager would ask the other staff about their opinions. Hmm I was a bit disappointed because I had rejected the other job offer and they said this to me. Before that they even said that even it is two weeks they would still want me.. Hmmm blame it on the manager!

The temp staff who is working at the cc now wanted to quit but she did not know how to put it into words. She is very scared of some of the staff inside the cc, and she does not like the working environment. Yesterday, she even told me that she has prepared a resignation letter but do not know where to place. I was like “huh” saying “just give it to the staff there loh.” But she is afraid, she said she want to put inside the attendance book, I was like again telling her “what if the staff did not look at the attendance book how on earth are they going to know that you are quitting”? Also I feel that it is irresponsible for her to do that as the cc would not be able to find people to replace her immediately, at least must inform one or two days earlier.
Today, I went out with dear to have our late lunch at mosburger at parkway, we also went to buy Christmas present for the party at Amanda’s place tomorrow and also one for my party at Synn Ying’s place on Monday. Dear also ask me to choose a Christmas present for myself, I was elated, went to look for a nice wedge but those that I like do not have my size. When we were shopping I saw a chupa chup handphone strap that cost $9.90. I bought it online for US255, which is definitely much cheaper than the one I saw at the shop even after adding shipping fees and postage charge. After shopping for nearly one hour plus, I went home empty handed because I could not find a pair of shoes I like. Our initial plan after reaching home is to went for a swim but it start to drizzle when we reach home, so we are not able to swim I was so pissed off with the weather, it has been quite some time since I swim. Hope it will not rain tomorrow and I would be able to swim before I go for my party.
I just received Nuan’s Christmas card today! Thanks for your lovely Christmas card! It’s very nice! Ok set I would arrange a meetup soon but Clara didn’t contact me after she came back, so maybe I would wait for her to online first ba. I don’t think my boyfriend and I would be celebrating Christmas since I’m going Synn Ying’s place to celebrate. Haha. Children

It is almost 2am, when everybody is hiding under their warm blanket and soundly asleep, I am still awake. It is a peaceful and quiet night, besides the sound of my fan swirling; I could hear the rain pouring outside the window vividly. Looking out the window, I am really glad that I have a cozy home where I can hid or cuddle on the bed when the weather turns cold, a permanent shelter that protect me from stormy weather.
Whenever I thought of how fortunate I am, I would think of the less fortunate, wondering where they are settling down, do they even have a proper shelter at all. Today, I read the Chinese newspaper and I saw an article on how unfilial children can be in Hong Kong. They coax their parents into going overseas trip with them, on the surface level, they are bringing their parents for a holiday to enjoy but in their minds they are contemplating to cheat their parents’ money and abandon them at a foreign country. The elderly stated in the article is one who is senile, and I believe that their children abandoned her because of the heavy burden shouldered on care giving. Luckily the elderly is brought back to Hong Kong but with her medical condition, she is not able to remember where she stay, thus, despite being brought back to Hong Kong, she is being left on the streets, being a beggar. A lot of emotions stirred up in my body when I read the article. I really feel for the elderly, I was close to tears when reading it. I was just wondering how someone can be so cruel towards their close kin, I really cannot understand. Even though if we say that, it is because the parents may have done something bad in the past that left an indelible mark in their children’s minds, it does not mean that the children can do something so cruel to their parents.
I feel that one day these people will have their retribution either when they turn old they may treat likewise too or in their next life… It is a matter of time.. ( You better watch out by CSY)

2nd day of work

Hmm today is my second day of work and as usual there is little work to be done. I interviewed 24 people (24 x 5mins=120mins= 2 hrs) and i work from 9am to 10pm so i have been slacking for 11 hrs!! Sometimes it really get too bored that I almost dozed off. I might be continue working at the cc for the rest of my december holidays to earn some easy money :D Tomorrow was my rest day, I was looking forward as my initial plan was to go to IKEA at tampines with dear and his friends, now that dear has to go to school to do his FYP, we have to cancel the trip, quite disappointing, but studies come first mah. So we need to plan another time to go again.

Oh ya dear stay till late last nite at my house to help my dad with some com stuffs, Xiao ai was here too, she was too tired that she hop into my bed and find her best position to sleep... (top) She really know how to enjoy... hehe The other one (bottom) was taken at dear's place when she is sleeping soundly in an air-conditioned room that a blanket is essential! So cute!! BTW this pics are taken from my phone, quite clear rite!

First day of work

Today is my first day of work as a surveyor. Before I even start working, I have tried to visualize how my working schedule will be like, wallking and roaming around in the cc, busy interviewing the customers, I thought that I would be damn tired after work... But to my amazement.. there is very little crowd in the cc, partly because it is a weekend, so there is very little people for us to interview. Most of the time spent is sitting in the office and chit chatting with my partner. Though the time crawls very slowly, I am glad that the work is not as bad as I thought, it is quite relaxing actually. Can you imagine from 9am to 10pm, with the complusory 2 hrs break for lunch and dinner, I only interviewed 29 ppl, and each interview on average is about 5 mins. How bad can that be.. haha slacker's perspective. Some of you may think that it is a waste of time, but I am paid for wasting the time away :p
Most of the people in the cc are mainly bringing and fetching their kids from courses and childcare, others come to the cc to read the newspapers, the majority are those that pass by the cc to go to the nearest busstop as walking into the cc is a shorter route rather than going about the cc. Hence it is pointless to interview them as they did not come to the cc for any purpose...
Anyway the staffs over there are quite friendly and easy to get along with. :)

At home

While waiting for my dear to sms me before I leave my house to meet him for dinner and maybe a swim, let me take this time to blog. I have been reading death note whole day, I'm so sad as L has died... Awwww.. I think he is really a clever and witty person. Although Light is also one intelligent chap i still prefer L, his actions are so comedy. Oh yes, just to update I have bought the blue color dress shown on one of my blog entries, hehe can't resist the temptation, if everything goes right I should be able to get the dress in two weeks time. Hopefully I can fit the dress, if not i have to go for dieting again or should I say I have never stop doing that? haha But still does not make any difference, really envy those who can eat what they like and do what they like (sleeping) and not putting on weight.
Tomorrow is my first day of work, it a three day temp job have to work from 9am to 10pm, the working hours are so longgg, luckily its only for 3 days so I just have to bear with it. But don't why whenever i am about to start working during my holidays I would feel abit reluctant, but if I did not manage to find a job I would feel panic or stressful, maybe coz my pocket will be tighten, cannot buy the stuffs I like unless I am working (got money to buy them). Hmmmm life is so complicated.. haha I think I am thinking too much. Anyway lets hope for the best, need to stand the whole day tomorrow, hopefully everything is smooth sailing! 加油！提起劲来吧！

Shopping with Synn Ying

Today was a slack day for me. I slept till 12pm and wait for my dear to come my house to help me with my laptop, all those installation etc coz im a computer idiot. While he was meddling with all the stuffs instead of helping him, i lie on the bed to read the comic- Death Note. I think the comic is nice, really looking forward for the movie to be out soon. Heard from Clara that part II is damn nice think she watched it in HK. But then again if the movie is out, this means that i would have little days left for my holidays. Hmm mixed feelings...
I met Synn Ying in the evening for dinner and to pay for her belated birthday present. Bought a feminie watch for her from Solvet Titus, think the design is quite elegant and sweet, and of cos worth the price since it is on 50% sale. I was supposed to buy a pair of slippers since the current pair is spoilt but couldn't find one that I like. It was quite disappointing though especially to go home empty handed without buying anything after shopping. Argh hate that kinda feeling. However, I was quite happy to see my secondary frens whom i have not seen for very long ever since graduation and also Mak Lao Shi and Lao Shi Gong. It was quite "eerie" as i was thinking about whether I would bump into her, few minutes before I saw her. Anyway, I always think that Mak Lao Shi and Lao Shi Gong make a perfect couple, they are so cute and loving. Wish them all the best!!

Shopping with Dear

Today Dear and I went to Suntec to eat Crystal Jade. It has been sometime since we went to the Crystal Jade at Suntec. We usually go to the one at holland village since it is nearer to our school. I think the standard at Suntec has dropped especially the way they cooked the zhe jiang la men, they put too much of the gravy so much so that it become more like a soup. Anyway after eating we walk aimlessly around and we landed at the arcade playing games. I like the basketball shooting game played twice but scored lousily coz i shoot too high.. Hehe. Not long after that we went to buy some snacks and head for home. Recently i have been addicted to one particular comic- Slam Dunk which i have read before many years back. And this is my third time reading it, it is still as interesting as though i have not read it before, the parts that make me laugh for the first time make me laugh again. Okay gotta continue reading them lo...
