SG-HK-Shen Zhen-HK-Macau-HK-SG

Finally, the long awaited entry on my overseas trip is here! Tadah!!!!!

Day 1
It was such an exciting trip, all of us met up at 1am to have supper and headed to the airport when the check in time was 4.30am. (Thanks to JW & YC for driving us to the airport!) We played poker cards at the airport while waiting for time to pass. As this is my first time going overseas, my parents, godma and dear’s mum gave me ang baos as a form of wishing me smooth journey. I was shocked and elated!
It seems like Chinese New Year to me to have extra pocket money hehe.

waiting for time to pass.... tick, tock, tick, tock,

My friends were very nice to offer me the window seat. First time on the plane and I got to sit beside the window, I’m pampered! :)

I love the clouds!!!!!!

My excitement was overwhelmed by fatigue due to lack of sleep and gastric pains. Dear helped me ask for milk on the plane and showered me with care and concern that really helped to minimize the pain I had suffered. We had hor fun and omelette for breakfast on the plane. I preferred the hor fun to omelette.

Breakfast type A

Breakfast type B

After a 3.5 hours ride, we finally reached our destination- HONG KONG! Adrenaline rush and excitement rose once again when I saw HK island from the plane ahhahaha. Also we were able to see the cable ride to big Buddha which we would be going the next day.

At hk airport...

The moment we reach hk airport, dear’s buddy, Alex was there to welcome us! After we had gotten our luggages, Alex’s chauffeur drove us to our hotel to check in, after which we headed to 沙田马场for lunch buffet. The place was very classy, in order for us to go in we must be dressed formally. The room that we had our buffet was located such that horses would raced pass your sight. This was the first time in my life seeing horses racing right in front of me. Though I always see it on TV, the experience of seeing it live was different, the atmosphere was heightened when we placed bets on the horses. The group that Dear and I bet won. ( pictures) I guessed that was the lowest winnings ever because we won S$1.80 hhahaa

On our way to jockey club

Since Alex’s house was near the jockey club, we went to his house for a while after we left the jockey club. His house is huge, luxurious and classy!

We had our dinner at huo xian du 火闲土, a Japanese restaurant. The food there was not bad, we had sashimi, cold noodles etc, the photos speak for themselves.

Alex treated us for the buffet and our dinner. Thanks to him, if not I shudder to think how much we ha spent for the first day!

After our dinner we went to the Victoria Peak together with Alex and his friend Wei Shan, it was a pity that the weather was too cloudy to see the scenic view. Also we went to the wax museum. I was feeling most accomplished when I managed to take a picture with.......

deng deng deng deng!!!!!

Best picture taken outta the bad weather

We went to lan kwoi fang and had a drink at an underground pub chosen by Justus. I saw 2 hk actors along the way but I did not know their names haha I was just able to recognize their faces.

The first day was a happening one because in just a short period we visited so many places as mentioned above.
Alex was saying that we have toured half of hk in just a day’s time! I can't believe it.. So what are we going to do for the next few days???

All the walking had made us tired, that’s all for the day! Good Night!
