Day 3- Ocean Park

Today Alex is not around with us, so this is the first time we are going to eat alone with no native recommendations. Thus we head to a restaurant near our hotel for breakfast.

Our 'normal' breakfast after eating so much the day before..

After which, together with a HK map we head to take MTR. This is our first time taking their public transport after all the driving by the chauffeur for the past two days. The MTR look similar like those we had in sg, so not much a problem for us. We went to Ocean Park, really gladful that we went to Ocean Park Instead Of Disneyland since the feedbacks from friends were not that fantastic. We paid S$37 for the admission fees and we get to play all the rides inside with no extra charges, unless you want to try the skill games. We brought along our ocean park coupons given by our travel agencies so there are discounts for the bball skill games we played. We won quite a lot of soft toys, but say to say I won one soft toy only. It is quite hard to master the kinda strength and technique you need to have to shoot; it is completely different from shooting in a real bball court. Okay fine im giving excuses for myself :p

We are lost in Hong Kong

The first ride that we took was the spaceship ride (pictures) It makes all of us giddy for quite a long period of time that most of us skipped most of the rides. Justus is the most spontaneous person among the 5 of us.

The spaceship that made all of us giddy

The second ride that we took was the roller coaster, its appearance does not look intimidating but the ride was exciting and made me yelled at the top of my voice whenever it plummeted.

After the exciting ride, I dare not take other rides anymore. Also some of us are still suffering from the giddiness due to the spaceship ride so we did not take rides that would exacerbate our conditions. Justus was the only one that challenged the longest roller coaster in hk and the turbo drop. Impressive! We all applauded, his courage is laudable!

We also sat on the ferris wheel and the viewing tower (the one at sentosa look alike). Rmb the DHL hot air balloon that you see in sg, they have a few similar ones there with various sizes and guess what you do not have to pay extra money to sit those balloons. It is included in the admission charges. We had played from 12 noon till the park is closed (6pm) but we had yet to complete all the games and rides. It took more than a day to walk and play at Ocean Park and $37 is really worth the money!

After the ocean park had closed, we went back to our hotel, along the way we were thinking of what to eat for dinner when we saw a stall inside the MTR station selling these rice balls..
I thought that the rice balls look new to us and we decided to give it a try! The taste was not that bad except that the purple rice was a bit hard on the teeth.

Rice balls!!!
